Maine's major cities are Augusta, Portland, and Lewiston. The Maine Department of Transportation is also known as MaineDOT. Maine has over 3,478 miles of coastline. Many of Maine's landmarks include lighthouses and marshes as well as ships/boats. Boating and whitewater rafting are two of Maine's most popular attractions.
