The Illinois State Police website states that 65 mph is the maximum speed limit for house-cars, campers, private living coaches, recreational vehicles, vehicles towing other vehicles, and vehicles of the second category designed or used to carry a gross weight greater than 8,001 pounds.

This increase, if passed by the House, would put Illinois at the interstate speed rate with thirty other states including Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, and Iowa.
